Message From CEO

We want to build an organisation with strong capabilities to unleash innovation in Nelson Mandela Bay, an information and technology hub. We want the Nelson Mandela iHub to become accessible to the community of the Nelson Mandela Bay, and not only clients of the Nelson Mandela Bay iHub.

Company Overview

Nelson Mandela iHub Mandate

The Nelson Mandela iHUB focuses on technologies that have the potential for disrupting existing value chains to facilitate market access whilst contributing to social development. This is done through a focus on educational technology, smart agriculture, automation and robotics, big data analytics, cloud computing and blockchain technologies.

The incubation programme is divided into three phases and the incubatees progress to the next stage only when they have graduated, ensuring that only committed business owners continue to benefit from the resources of the Nelson Mandela Bay iHub.

The selection criteria for being part of the Nelson Mandela iHUB is very stringent and focuses on prioritising technology start-ups with products that have a potential for a disruptive effect. Technology commercialisation is at the centre of the iHUB's work with a focus on development of technology products that have potential for success.
